Start with the kind of day your group wants
The best trip is the one that matches your group. Look beyond photographs and a headline price: compare time at sea, road travel, walking and the pace of the day. This guide helps you choose; it does not replace the current programme or written booking confirmation.
- Sea and swimming: a full-day shared boat trip in Gocek.
- A sea day with your own group: a private gulet.
- River scenery and varied stops: the full-day Dalyan programme.
- A shorter visit: the half-day Iztuzu Beach and Turtle Hospital option.
- An active day: jeep, quad/buggy or rafting, each with different requirements.
- History and culture: Pamukkale or Ephesus for guests comfortable with a longer road day.
Gocek: shared boat or private gulet?
The Gocek 12 Islands Boat Trip is a shared option for joining a boat day with other guests. The Private 12 Islands Gulet Tour is for your own group. A private gulet is priced per group, not per person; confirm the total amount and included services using your group's details.
A private tour does not guarantee any route or time you request. Boat arrangements, routes and swimming stops depend on the captain's assessment, weather and sea conditions. Less road travel does not automatically mean easy boarding for everyone.
A Dalyan river day is not the same as half-day Iztuzu
The Dalyan, Iztuzu and Mud Bath Tour is a full-day option combining river scenery and the confirmed stops. Do not treat it as a short beach visit simply because Iztuzu appears in the name; review the stops, inclusions and overall day length.
The Iztuzu Beach and Turtle Hospital Tour is a separate half-day programme focused on the beach and turtle hospital, not a shortened name for the full-day river and mud-bath tour. Confirm hospital visiting conditions and conservation rules. Wild turtle sightings, contact with animals or access to a particular hospital area are not guaranteed. Half-day does not specify an exact hotel arrival time.
Compare adventure trips by their participation requirements
Jeep Safari, Quad and Buggy Safari and Rafting are different experiences. The terrain or river activity, driver/passenger rules and equipment requirements depend on the product. Check age, health, safety, clothing and operating conditions before booking.
Do not assume an activity suits every child or every guest with mobility needs. Explain your group's requirements in advance and confirm driving or participation conditions separately.
Pamukkale or Ephesus: are you ready for a long cultural day?
Pamukkale and Hierapolis combines a distinctive landscape with an ancient site; Ephesus focuses on an ancient-city visit. Both are cultural options involving more road travel and outdoor walking. An early start, heat, footwear and rest needs should influence your choice. Confirm departure and return arrangements, admissions and inclusions; do not assume a fixed journey time.
Confirm transport and your group’s needs for the chosen tour
For boat and gulet trips departing from Gocek, you can join with hotel collection from Sarigerme or Dalyan, or make your own way to the Gocek meeting point. Confirm the collection arrangements for your hotel, or the Gocek meeting point and time, in writing. Do not assume the same arrangements apply to every adventure or cultural tour.
Share children's ages and any mobility or access needs. Less walking is not a guarantee of step-free access; ask about boarding, steps and conditions at the stops. Our guide to choosing excursions with children can help with preparation.
Turn your shortlist into a clear booking enquiry
Tell the team your preferred trip, date, full hotel name or self-arrival in Gocek, party size, children's ages and preferred pace. Use our 7 questions to ask before booking an excursion guide to check transport, total price, inclusions and exclusions, the language used during the tour and cancellation terms. A translated webpage does not guarantee guiding in that language.
An enquiry is not a confirmed booking: the date, availability, total amount and participation conditions need confirmation. Weather, sea, traffic, conservation and operating conditions can affect the programme. If you want several excursions, use the three-day excursion planning guide to spread them across your stay; consider rest time between longer days.

FAQ
Is the half-day option the same as the Dalyan river tour?
No. Iztuzu Beach and Turtle Hospital is a separate half-day programme; Dalyan, Iztuzu and Mud Bath is the full-day river option. Confirm current stops, visiting conditions and return arrangements on the relevant tour page.
What is the difference between a shared boat and a private gulet?
You join a shared boat with other guests; a private gulet is for your own group. The private gulet price is per group, not per person. Confirm the total, inclusions and programme; private does not mean unlimited choice of route or timing.
Which trip suits children or guests with mobility needs?
There is no single option for everyone. Share children's ages and access needs, then check boarding, walking, equipment and participation conditions for the chosen trip. Less travel or walking does not guarantee step-free access.
Are Pamukkale and Ephesus short local trips?
No. They are cultural days involving longer road travel and outdoor walking. Confirm the early start, total duration, admissions and included services for your date.
Where can I join a Gocek boat trip?
You can join with hotel collection from Sarigerme or Dalyan, or make your own way to the Gocek meeting point. Your hotel's collection arrangements or the Gocek meeting point and time must be confirmed in writing. This is not a universal collection guarantee for other tour types.
Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?
No. The date, availability, total price, inclusions and exclusions, transport and participation conditions need confirmation. Ask about the language used during the tour and cancellation terms too, and wait for written booking confirmation.
